Payment Instructions

All registration forms must be accompanied by check or credit card information. IOA accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. IOA does not accept Diners Club. Make checks payable, in U.S. funds, to the International Ombudsman Association. No registrations will be processed without full payment.

All participants, including authors and presenters, are expected to pay the appropriate registration fee if attending the conference.

Confirmation of Registration

Attendees who include an email address on their registration form will receive an e-mail confirmation/receipt within 24 hours of registering online. Allow up to two weeks if registering by mail or fax. If an email address is not provided, registrants will receive a confirmation in the mail within 14 business days. If you do not receive a confirmation two weeks after registering, email IOA headquarters. All registrants must pick up their badges at the IOA Registration Desk when they arrive at the Richmond Marriott.

Cancellation Policy

Notification of cancellation must be submitted in writing via email.  Cancellations received 21 days in advance of the event will be refunded, less a $75 USD cancellation fee.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received less than 21 days from the start of the event. 

Substitutions can be made at any time, as long as both attendees are of the same registration type.
