Benefits of Membership
*Note: A one-time application processing fee of $25 will be assessed for new Member level.
*Retired Member category is only available to previous Retired Members or IOA Members.
Please note: The Membership Year is from January 1 to December 31 of each calendar year.
For members that joined IOA between July 1 and October 31 of a current year, will receive a prorated membership renewal invoice in the subsequent year.
Accepted payments include credit card and check. Purchase orders are not accepted. Wire transfers are only accepted from nations where credit cards and checks are not possible.
Memberships are individual and non-refundable and are non-transferable. U.S. citizens: contributions or gifts to associations that are exempt under IRS 501(c)6 are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. However, they may be deducted as ordinary and necessary business expenses.

The term Ombudsman is used to communicate to the widest possible community and is not intended to discourage others from using alternatives. IOA respectfully acknowledges that many practitioners use alternative forms of this word.
