IOA is heading to Latin America! The three-day Foundations of Organizational Ombudsman Practice will take place in Santiago, Chile, 8-10 October 2018. This course covers the fundamentals of the organizational ombudsman role by emphasizing the principles of confidentiality, neutrality, independence and informality. Practice key ombudsman skills of listening, asking questions, clarifying, generating options and moving to actions throughout the ombudsman process. In addition, an experienced and highly committed faculty of ombudsmen will share best practices regarding setting up an office and evaluating and communicating the effectiveness of the office to your organization.
The course is sponsored by Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and its Organizational Ombudsman Office, which is the first ombudsman office created in Chile.
The course will be conducted using a combination of translated English and direct instruction in Spanish.
