These are challenging times that are admonishing all of us to retreat at a time when building connections with others is all the more vital. IOA recognizes that members value the collegiality and sharing with peers that serve to nurture us and strengthen us individually as well as a profession.

Although COVID-19 intervened to prevent us from meeting in person in Portland, we still have the chance to get together and build connections. IOA has pivoted to provide a virtual offering, The Annual Business Meeting & Community Dialogue, which will enable real-time engagement among our membership, volunteer leaders, and staff.

We have prepared our Annual Meeting agenda and are hard at work finalizing our strategy for the Community Dialogue. This portion of the meeting is set to provide members with a platform to share your experiences during this unprecedented time. This online meeting will include virtual breakout rooms for small group dialogue, as well as whole group gatherings for the sharing of ideas and themes from colleagues.
