Ombuds Certification Program

Welcome to the Ombuds Certification Program (OCP), a new umbrella program in place to support multiple certifications of organizational ombuds and other ombuds models.  

Currently, IOA is pleased to offer both Individual Certification and Program Certification for Organizational Ombuds.  More advanced and specialized certifications are in the works, and we are in collaborative discussions with USOA exploring how to develop a certifcation program that will work for their community.   We welcome how we can support other sister organizations in their certification goals.  For more information, contact IOA Executive Director Ellen Miller

The CO-OP designation will no longer be awarded. Current CO-OP certified individuals, please see the recertification page for information on how to transition to this new certification.
