IOA Community Connections

Ongoing Networking Opportunities for Organizational Ombuds

IOA is re-launching our member-only Community Connections program with a new series of informal meetings for practicing and aspiring organizational ombuds. These will feature topical discussions facilitated by Ellen Miller, IOA Executive Director, along with members of the IOA Board of Directors.

First introduced in 2020 — at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic — IOA's Community Connections were created when we had to cancel our Annual Conference. These sessions provided space for ombuds practitioners to exchange ideas and connect with one another virtually.

For this new series, we will be offering two sessions on the third Wednesday of each month. The first session will be held at 8:00 AM PT, and the second will be held at 5:00 PM PT to allow for participation from across the globe. These meetings will be 45 minutes long.

In order to create a safe space for practicing ombuds to share issues and approaches, the intended audiences are those practicing and trained to practice (aspiring).
